Balance Changes

There’s a lot here. We’re always listening, so read up on what we tweaked based on what you’ve given us!

Attack range is a very important factor for characters, but it has been overlooked in Eternal Return. We want to make a clear difference so that characters that are attacking from close-range, whether it’s melee or close ranged, the closer character can gain a bit of a benefit from closing the gap.

Although the individuality and characteristics of weapons are important fun factors, we don’t want any particular weapon to feel useless. In particular, we are trying to keep normal attack damage reduction and skill damage reduction properly balanced.

Food is important in a starting route, we’ve reduced the efficiency of food that you can make in just one area.

Skill feedback always takes the longest to reflect in-game. First, we’re reading all the feedback you give us and we try to determine what we can change right away. For example, to adjust the oft requested cast time of Magnus’s Broken Bullet (Q), we also need to adjust the animation, which will take approximately 1 to 2 months. We try to find a much easier way of fixing this – like increasing the range and seeing how that works. Naturally, there are skills that will take time to change no matter what, like Dual Sword Rampage, which we received feedback about in the CBT — it’s been adjusted.

We can’t always respond to a lot of feedback about balance, but we are always listening and trying to improve thanks to you.
