PATCH NOTES 0.47.0 – DECEMBER 8TH, 2021

Servers will go down December 8th at 6 PM (PT) to apply Update 0.47.0.

Patch Note Fixes

Johann

  • Transcendent Censer (W): Censers are fixed so that they can only be destroyed by basic attacks. (Bug fix)

This fix has been removed from the patch due to side effects. It will be fixed in future patches.

Hello my dear Eternal Return family. Aesop here with another edition of Eternal Return Patch Notes. In today’s episode, we’ll take a look at the explosives engineer herself, Celine! We also have some new skins (which I am very fond of, personally) and, of course, balance changes. Let’s get right into it!

New Character - Celine

“There's nothing a little explosion can't solve.”

Celine will cost 9,900 A-Coin for 2 weeks and she will be available in ranked matches starting from December 14th (KST).



Weapon Type 

  • Throw

Explosives Engineer (Passive) 

Celine starts with a skill point in Plasma Bomb and can learn Magnetic Compulsion at level 1. Magnetic Compulsion’s max level is 5 (as opposed to 3).

Dealing skill damage to a test subject reduces the cooldown of Plasma Bomb by 50/75%. After 3 skills, Celine's next basic attack deals extra skill damage equal to 50/100% of her skill amplification and reduces the cooldowns of Blast Wave and Magnetic Compulsion by 50/75% when hit.



Plasma Bomb (Q)

Celine throws a Plasma Bomb to the targeted location. Celine can Detonate her Plasma Bombs, dealing 18/36/54/72/90(+Attack Power 20%) damage. Exploded or expired bombs remain on the ground as empty shells before disappearing. Celine can hold a maximum of 3 bombs and can place up to 4 bombs at a time.

  • Cooldown: 10/9.5/9/8.5/8s

  • SP Cost : 90/100/110/120/130

  • Range : 7.5m

  • Explosion Radius : Circular 2m

  • Plasma Bomb Duration : 4.5s

  • Empty Shell Duration : 7s



Detonate (W)

Celine detonates the targeted Plasma Bomb.

Connected Plasma Bombs also explode, increasing damage by 10/12/14/16/18% for each connected Plasma Bomb.

Plasma Bombs become empty shells after exploding.

  • Cooldown: 1s

  • SP Cost : 15

  • Range : 7m

  • Detonation Designation Radius : Circular 3m, prioritizes the bomb closest to the center of radius



Blast Wave (E)

Celine tosses a shockwave ordnance at the target location, dealing 30/45/60/75/90(+Attack Power 30%) damage. The ordnance creates a blast wave, knocking away herself, Plasma Bombs, and enemies in range. Plasma Bombs that are pushed away by the blast deal 40/60/80/100/120(+Attack Power 30%) damage and stun enemies hit for 0.8 seconds.

Damaging an enemy with Blast Wave grants Celine a stack of Plasma Bomb.

  • Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10s

  • SP Cost : 110

  • Range : 6m

  • Explosion Radius : Circular 3.5m



Magnetic Compulsion (R)

Celine fuses together all of her Plasma Bombs in range, active or empty, to create a Magnetic Compulsion explosive. Using Detonate or waiting until max duration causes the Magnetic Compulsion to explode, dealing 40/55/70/85/100(+Attack Power 20%) damage for each fused Plasma Bomb. 

If 2 or more bombs are fused together, enemies hit will be slowed by 50% for 1 second. 

If 5 or more bombs are fused together, the explosion radius is increased and enemies hit are stunned for 1.5 seconds.

System

Checking remaining items in area

If you feel like you’re late to an area, try checking the Security Console.

  • Activating a Security Console will display the number of remaining items in the area.

  • The pop up will automatically disappear when moving away from the console.


Cooldown Reduction Cap Changes

Cooldown reduction was becoming too efficient as it approached the hard cap. 

  • Cooldown Reduction Cap 35% → 30%

  • Items that raise the cooldown reduction cap such as Queen of Hearts or Prominence can still be used to go over 30%.


Acceleration Influx Perimeter Improvements

The AIPs should now provide a nice boost early on when you’re either late or being chased.

  • Acceleration Influx Perimeter: 30% increased movement speed for 2s → 35% for 3s


Saved Plan Auto Sort

Auto sorted cleanly and smoothly. What kinda psycho put them in a different order anyway?

  • Items in saved plans will now always be sorted as Weapon-Chest-Head-Arm-Leg.

  • Items from the same category will be sorted from the lowest to highest rarity. However, weapons will prioritize your initial weapon type for game start.


Saved Plans/Augments Display during Character Select

Both Saved Plans and Augments will be displayed simultaneously to prevent any brainfarts.


Normal Matchmaking 2nd Improvements

Smarter normal matchmaking.

  • MMR gain/loss for high relative MMR difference will be toned down for normal matchmaking in high tiers.

  • Some tiers in normal matchmaking will experience faster matchmaking.


Augments
  • Effects for Ironclad have been improved for clarity.

  • Healing Drone

    • Heal: (4+Level*0.25)% → (3+Level*0.25)%

Early game Nathapon has been quite a menace, straight up murdering people level 2 with a green weapon.

Nicky

More power to her skills with a reduction to her ultimate should help her pump out more firepower during combat.

    • Damage 25/50/75/100/125(+Attack Power 100%) → 25/50/75/100/125(+Attack Power 125%)

  • Pure Rage Uppercut!! (R)

    • Cooldown 90/75/60s→ 90/70/50s


Lenox

Lenox is strong early, a bit too much so. We’ve tuned down her early game but made some changes to Grappling Whip (D) to help her out more in the late game.

  • Recoil (Q)

    • Damage 20/50/80/110/140(+Attack Power 30%) → 10/40/70/100/130(+Attack Power 30%)

    • Edge Extra Damage: 7/7.5/8/8.5/9% of max HP → 1/3/5/7/9%


Rozzi

Smoother movement with both them pistols of hers.

  • Dual Wield (P)

    • Dual Wield will no longer ignore movement commands and move instantly while canceling Dual Wield. (Same as Li Dailin’s Dialed In (P))

    • When timed correctly, movement will be faster and smoother. Moving too quickly may result in the cancellation of the second attack.


Luke

A tale as old as time, Łukasz is terrorizing lower tiers while still doing pretty good above that.

  • Base Attack Power 25 → 23

  • Clean Sweep (Q)

    • Re-cast range: 13m → 10m

    • Re-cast duration: 4s→ 3s


Magnus

Players across various tiers were having a hard time stopping Magnus’s speed.

  • 17 vs 1(W)

    • Damage 10/20/20/30/30(+Attack Power 40%)(Defense 10%) → 8/16/16/24/24(+Attack Power 40%)(Defense 10%)

  • Bike From Hell (R)

    • Damage 200/300/400(+Attack Power 180%) → 200/300/400(Attack Power 120%)

    • We’re planning to reduce the explosion radius in a future update. The bike’s power will be readjusted accordingly.


Bianca

The self-proclaimed vampire queen is has been ruling with a bit of an iron fist in multiple tiers.

  • Sanctuary (W)

    • Using Circulation (E) during enhanced Sanctuary (W) damages enemies upon arrival instead.

  • Circulation(E)

    • Heal per enemy hit: 20/30/40/50/60(+Attack Power 100%) → 30/45/60/75/90(+Attack Power 100%)

    • When hitting 2 or more enemies, additional targets only provide 40% healing.

  • Reign of the Vampire Queen (R)

    • Heal upon explosion 75/125/175(+Attack Power 100%)(+10% of missing HP) → 100/150/200(+Attack Power 100%)(+10% of missing HP)

    • Skill Vamp while on circle: 30/40/50% → 20/25/30%

    • Skill Vamp from the circle is now properly applied to the 2nd hit heal for Reign of the Vampire Queen.

    • When hitting 2 or more enemies, additional targets only provides 40% healing.

    • Slow for enemies with Hemostatis: 30/40/50% → 5/10/15%

    • Cooldown 105/95/85s → 110/105/100s


Silvia

We took a deeper look into Silvia following the last patch, she still needed a bit of a further adjustment. 

  • Lumia Grand Prix (P)

    • Max Fuel 100 → 85

    • (NEW) Max fuel is increased by 25 when visiting all areas.

  • Shift Gears (R)

    • Cooldown 20/11/2s→ 20/13/6s


Adriana

Adriana’s enemies in higher tiers were ending up a little bit too crispy for our tastes. 

  • Cocktail Party (R)

    • Damage 70/130/190(+Attack Power 45%) → 50/120/190(+Attack Power 40%)


Aya

Attack speed is being slightly toned down due to her Assault Rifles, but the reduction of downtime for Steady Shot should help her other weapons.

Isol

Celine must’ve given some tips to Isol on how to make his bombs a little better.

Alex

Alex was showing strong results in higher tiers so we’re canceling his ult changes for now and toning him down.

    • Damage 50/85/120/155/190(+Attack Power 30%) → 30/60/90/120/150(+Attack Power 30%)


Jan

Jan’s sustain is taking a hit, but he’s getting some changes to his Tomahawk Roundhouse for skill consistency.

  • Max HP per Level 96 → 90

    • (NEW) Enemies are now stunned for 0.5s when knocked back into a wall when the skill is not enhanced.

    • Enhanced skill stuns for 1s as usual.


Johann

Even in team modes, Mr. Johann could be doing better.

  • Radiant Brilliance (Q)

    • Damage 50/80/110/140/170(+Skill Amplification 70%) → 60/90/120/150/180(+Skill Amplification 70%)

    • Enhanced Damage 90/130/170/210/250(+Skill Amplification 120%) → 90/135/180/225/270(+Skill Amplification 120%)

Yuki

Yuki was due for a nerf preceding the last patch, but he’s fallen off just a bit more than we’d like. 

  • From Head to Toe (Q)

    • Cooldown 6s→ 5s

  • Button Up (W)

    • Cooldown 18/16/14/12/10s→ 14/13/12/11/10s

  • Coup de Grace (R)

    • Damage 250/375/500(+Attack Power 150%) → 250/375/500(+Attack Power 175%)


Jackie

Jackie is getting some help after she fell short due to the changes to Healing Factor.

  • Adrenaline Burst (W)

    • Extra damage for bleeding enemy : Attack Power 10/12/14/16/18% → 12/16/20/24/28%


Jenny

Jenny was really selling her whole “play dead” thing, too much so. 

  • Play Dead (P)

    • Heal per point of Rehearsal : 10/25/40% of max HP→ 5/15/25%


Camilo

Camilo’s been brushing up on his moves and can now weave them together easier.

  • Olé! (P)

    • Cooldown Reduction for chaining basic attacks and skills: 3s→ 3.5s

  • Duende (R)

    • Can be reused up to 2 times within 10s → Can be reused up to 2 times within 12s


Chloe

Some issues with Puppet Theatre are being fixed, along with a slight delay reduction.

  • Puppet Theatre (W)

    • Delay between 2nd & 3rd hit: 0.26s→ 0.06s

    • Canceling Nina’s strike (3rd hit)'s animation with Nina on Command (Q) will no longer deal damage for the strike. (Bug fix)

    • Nina’s 3rd hit animation is no longer sped up by Chloe’s attack speed. (Bug fix)


Hyejin

Charm of the Prophecy should be easier to utilize in the early game despite being leveled the latest.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Gameplay Improvements

  • Casting bars will now display remaining duration to the tenth decimal.

  • Info overlay while spectating will now display the remaining restricted area timer.

  • Falling meteorites will no longer destroy certain objects upon impact (Wilson, Chess pieces, Doves etc.)

  • Tombstones and sprays will no longer be visible through fog of war.

  • Tooltips and various other bugs have been fixed overall.

 

Character & Weapon Improvements

  • Rozzi: Movement commands will now properly work when casting Flutter (W) after activating Dual Wield (P).

  • Bianca: Bloodletting (P)’s Hemostasis passive will no longer be applied to summons.

  • Bianca: Circulation (E) will now be properly used in the mouse cursor direction when queued. 

  • Bianca: Movement commands used while casting Circulation (E) will now be properly canceled.

  • Bianca: Can longer use basic attacks when using Circulation (E) while casting Reign of the Vampire Queen (R).

  • Bianca: Bianca’s Blood gauge will now be visible to her opponents. 

  • Shoichi: Bad Faith (Q2) can no longer be used an additional time when cast just as its duration ends

  • Emma: Visibility for Dove Dealer (Q) has been improved.

  • Eva: Skill effects for VF Eruption (R) will now properly be visible when used out of vision.

  • Eva: Amethyst Duress will properly be consumed when the effect is evaded by her target.

  • Cathy: Double Bypass (Q)’s passive will now properly proc Post-op (P).

  • Sniper Rifle: Ballistic Advantage (D) can no longer be used backwards.

  • Sniper Rifle: Indicators for locations out of vision have been improved for Ballistic Advantage (D).

  • Various other bugs have been fixed overall.


Lobby Improvements

  • A higher MMR will be applied to players who have selected the ‘experienced’ option in account creation survey.

  • 9212, 9219 errors will now be fixed when matching for team modes.

  • The team finder UI will no longer display Hyunwoo triplets upon finishing a game.

  • Bonus NP for purchasing NP products will now be displayed separately.

  • Event missions will now display the remaining time until the event ends.

  • The mouse wheel can now be used to move up/down in lobby chat.

  • Icons will be disabled for players that you already have sent an invite to in your recommended player list.

  • Various other bugs have been fixed overall.
