PATCH NOTES 0.55.0 – MARCH 30TH, 2022

Once upon a time, there was a noble knight who came to Lumia Island to deliver the patch notes…

Anyways, Windy here with Patch 0.55.0. We’ve got new content, balance changes, improvements, and the Winter Queen herself!

Without further ado, let’s begin!


Patch Note Fixes

Crafting With Items From Box Improvements

  • A 'Quick Craft from Box' keybind (Shift+Z) has been added.

* Shift+Z has been unassigned if it was already connected to a different keybind.


Wild Animal Improvements

  • Added a Bat next to Security Console in Pond



New Character - Elena

The rapier wielding skater, Elena, has been spotted gliding around the island!

Elena will cost 9,900 A-Coin in the first 2 weeks after release. She will be available in ranked matches starting from April 6th (KST).

"My turn to perform? I see."


Winter Queen’s Dominion (P)

When Elena performs a basic attack or skill, she constructs a Glacial Field, applying Chill to enemies in it. Chilled enemies are slowed by 30%, and their attack speed is reduced by 30%. When an enemy's Chill gauge is full, they become Frozen.


Frozen: Frozen enemies are stunned for up to 1.5 seconds. While Frozen, the next instance of damage dealt to them by Elena or one of her allies will deal 25/50/75(+Attack Power 50%) additional skill damage and break them out of the Frozen status, reducing their attack speed by 30%. When Elena attacks a enemy, Crystal Elegance’s cooldown is reduced by 80%. Enemies can not be Chilled for 2.5 seconds after breaking out of the Frozen status.

  • Glacial Field Range: Radius 1.5m

  • Glacial Field Duration: 5s

  • Cooldown: 10/8/6s



Crystal Elegance (Q)

Elena forms an icicle in the targeted direction, dealing 20/30/40/50/60(+Attack Power 20%) skill damage to enemies and applying 10 Chill. After a short duration, the icicle bursts, dealing 36/52/68/84/100(+Attack Power 35%) skill damage, applying 20 Chill, and decreasing the cooldown of Winter Queen's Dominion by 50%.

  • Range: 3.5m

  • SP Cost: 60/65/70/75/80

  • Cooldown: 8/7/6/5/4s


Double Axel (W)

Elena performs a jump in the targeted direction, dealing 30/60/90/120/150(+35% Attack Power) skill damage to enemies in her way and applying 10 Chill. Reduces the cooldown of Crystal Elegance by 40% and increases her defense by 50%. Elena can hold up to charges of Double Axel. Casting the skill within a Glacial Field increases her range and enables Elena to jump over walls.

When damaged by an enemy during Double Axel, Elena also creates Glacial Field under the enemy. Crystal Elegance and Spiral can be cast to instantly cancel Double Axel, reducing the cooldown of the skill used to cancel Double Axel by 40%.

  • Dash Range: 2.5m

  • Dash Range within the Glacial Field or while using Spiral: 5m

  • SP Cost: 60/75/90/105/120

  • Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12s



Spiral (E)

Elena skates in the targeted direction, dealing 30/50/70/90/110(+80% Attack Power) skill damage to enemies in her way and applying 40 Chill. Chill given from Spiral applies only once and does not stack. Elena can adjust her direction while skating and creates a narrow path that applies Chill

Double Axel can also be used while skating, increasing its range and enabling Elena to jump over walls. The duration of Spiral is increased 0.5 seconds after she finishes performing Double Axel.

Danse Macabre (R)

Elena lays down a giant spreading Glacial Field, dealing 100/200/300(+100% Attack Power) skill damage to enemies in contact. Enemies in the middle are instantly Frozen inside a giant glacier, receiving 75/150/225(+20% Attack Power) skill damage.

  • Central Range: 3m Radius

  • Glacial Field Range: 5m Radius

  • SP Cost: 150

  • Cooldown: 95/85/75s



New Skins & Emotes

Dutiful Maid Chloe (Rare) will be available for purchase.

"We’ll take good care of you."



Crimson Devil Echion (Uncommon) will be available for purchase on April 5th (KST).

Cathy Emotes will be available for purchase.

A special Cathy bundle will be available for 1 week to commemorate the new Cathy emotes!

System

Lumia Island Detail Improvements

Remodeling for a more Lumia-esque feel!

The update includes visual changes to Factory, Chapel, School, and Dock.
















Wild Animal & Objective Improvements

Some skills and items made it too efficient to kill certain objectives.

  • Alpha, Omega, and Wickeline will now have the passive Overwhelming Presence. % HP damage dealt to these objectives will be reduced as follows:

    • Alpha: Takes 30% less damage from % HP damage effects.

    • Omega: Takes 40% less damage from % HP damage effects.

    • Wickeline: Takes 50% less damage from % HP damage effects.


Lumia’s ecosystem got richer, resulting in an increase in the population of wild animals. Some animals have been pushed out of their turf and forced to relocate.

  • Weapon Mastery gain from wild animals are being reduced with one exception - Bears. Bears will grant you slightly more Mastery than before.

    • Bat: 126 + 12 per Level → 126 + 10 per Level

    • Boar: 200 + 20 per Level → 200 + 17 per Level

    • Wild Dog: 170 + 15 per Level → 150 + 13 per Level

    • Wolf: 180 + 16 per Level → 160 + 13 per Level

    • Bear: 260 + 16 per Level → 280 + 16 per Level

  • The first wolf respawn now has a lower chance of spawning at level 3.

  • Wolves now have a slight chance to drop Heated Stone.


Crafting With Items From Box Improvements

Direct crafting with materials in boxes helped beginners with inventory management, but also made it easy for experienced players to accidentally craft the wrong item. To remedy this, crafting priority will be adjusted, and a separate UI bar to display quick crafting from box has been added.

  • Items craftable from a box will be displayed in a separate row above your Saved Plan.

  • The quick crafting priority will be as follows:

    • 1st: The leftmost item in your Saved Plan using materials in your inventory.

    • 2nd: The leftmost item in your Saved Plan using materials in a box.

    • 3rd: The leftmost item using materials in your inventory.

    • 4th: The leftmost item using materials in a box.

  • A ‘Quick Craft from Box’ keybind has been added. By default, it will be unassigned but can be customized in Settings.

  • A 'Quick Craft from Box' keybind (Shift+Z) has been added.
    * Shift+Z has been unassigned if it was already connected to a different keybind.

  • Known issue: the craft hotkey may change while the auto-loot function is on. We’re working on a fix for this issue, but it won’t be implemented in this patch.


Character Select and Loadout Improvements

Overall QoL improvements.

  • A random select button has been added in Character Select.

  • You can now search by name and sort by most played in Character Select.

  • A “hide default slots” function has been added to Augment Select.

  • Pressing the Augment button now auto-scrolls to your currently selected Augment.

  • Items in saved plans will now always be sorted in the order of Weapon-Chest-Head-Arm-Leg-Accessory.

  • The default saved plans list in the Loadout menu will now prefer your set language when displaying saved plans.


Revive Improvements

Improvements from beyond the grave.

  • The revive area is now displayed when auto revived.

  • You can now manage your inventory while downed.


Other Improvements

  • A slight buff to HP recovery while resting.

    • HP Recovery: 10 + Level*1 + 1% Max HP → 10 + Level*1 + 2% Max HP

  • The flower bed in Alley now blocks vision.

Nadine hasn’t been performing well lately, but we expect the wild animal changes this patch to give her a boost. We’ll keep an eye on her for now as she adjusts to the new ecosystem.

Gotta be more careful with the guard timing.

Tia

Tia brought a bigger paint can for her competition.

Laura

Laura’s passive, which is spiking a bit too hard, is getting a slight nerf. But we’re giving her a hefty ult buff and QoL improvements to compensate!

  • Teachings of Nerea (P)

    • Fixed an issue where the Initial Cast Delay was sometimes canceled.

    • Damage 15/45/75(+65% Attack Power) → 10/35/60(+60% Attack Power)

  • Thorn Lilac (Q)

    • After Delay 0.27s → 0.24s

  • Twilight Heist (R)

    • Landing Damage: 100/150/200(+100% Attack Power) → 130/260/390(+100% Attack Power)

    • Range when using Sly Step(E) while casting Twilight Heist 2.5m → 3m


Magnus

Trying to differentiate the playstyles between Hammers and Bats. Broken Bullet was a bit too effective as poke, so we’re toning it down a bit.

The vampire queen’s reign has been terrorizing the team mode meta.

Shoichi

Shoichi’s basic attack builds are stabbing too many people in high elo.

Sua

Sua’s nerfs left her a bit too weak, so we’ll try to adjust her power level by rewarding her for landing skills.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Gameplay Improvements

  • AI Bots will no longer carry Mithril String.

  • Mastery level pop ups now display the correct level immediately after level up.

  • Health Mastery increase is now displayed properly when using SP to craft Consumables.

  • Reset Characters in practice mode no longer causes extra buffs to stack.

  • In practice mode, characters at the maximum level cap can now properly gain skill points after being reset.


Character & Weapon Improvements

  • Laura: The effects of Teaching of Nerea (P) now match its cast direction.

  • Laura: Thorn Lilac (Q) no longer sometimes fails to enhance itself.

  • Leon: Cannonball (W)'s bubble consumption no longer incorrectly increases under certain circumstances.

  • Shoichi: Risky Business (E) no longer spawns a dagger upon being blocked by Temporal Refraction.

  • Eva: Added an effect to enemies revealed by Amethyst Flow (E).

  • Cathy: Under the Knife (P) and Suture (E)'s second hit no longer activates upon being blocked by Temporal Refraction.

  • Felix: Added missing mechanic (Felix gains spearweaving stacks for each evaded basic attack) in tooltips for Crescent Wave! (E).

  • Crossbow: Expulsion Shot (D)'s indicator has been fixed to match its actual range.


Lobby Improvements

  • Successfully finding teammates for Duo/Squad with Quick Start no longer shows the ‘Matchmaking Canceled’ popup.

  • ER Mission progress is now properly counted when defeating a revived enemy in a restricted area.

  • Searching for an invalid nickname will now show a text message instead of a pop up.

  • The current game mode is now displayed during teammate search and matchmaking.

  • The party leader can now select the “hide nickname” option in Custom Games. Doing so will hide nicknames for all users. (For tournaments)

  • In replays or observer screens, you can now hide your mouse cursor by pressing the shortcut key (Ctrl + Shift + N). (For tournaments)

  • Plague Doctor Daniel is currently incorrectly displayed as an Epic skin. The actual change will take effect on patch 0.57 (April 28th).
