PATCH NOTES 0.58.0 – MAY 11TH, 2022

Servers will go down May 11th at 7 PM (PT) to apply Update 0.58.0.

Season 5 has finally come to an end! And with that comes some spicy changes, thicc features, and amazing new content!

Patch Note Fixes

* Fixed the typo in the price of the Season 6 Pack(21,500 NP). 

The discount rate(Nearly 70%) and Earlybird deal price(6500 NP) will not change.

Season 6 Preseason Start

Hold your breath, it’s time to dive into Season 6!

  • Pre-season will be the 2 week period before Season 6 starts on May 25th (PT).

  • Your LP for Season 5 will be finalized once maintenance begins.

  • All season rewards, including Cadet Eva, will be distributed based on your final Season 5 LP. Your ranked rewards will be ready on May 25th after maintenance (PT).

  • Your preseason rank does not affect season rewards. Your preseason rank only affects where the soft reset will place you when Season 6 starts.

Highlight: Transfer System & Mutants

Season 6 brings sweeping changes to Lumia Island. Transfer Drones will change the whole material-gathering process, and Transfer Consoles will introduce game-changing variables mid-game. Mutants will be a sort of intermediate level objective between wild animals and androids or other major objectives.

Gain credits by slaying mutants. Use credits to take advantage of the powerful Transfer Drones and Transfer Consoles!


Credits

Credits are a form of currency used to call in Transfer Drones or use Transfer Consoles. You’ll collect this mysterious energy-based currency on Lumia Island, then send it to the Research Center to get the ingredients you need in return.

  • Each player starts with 25 credits when the game begins. Players gain 10 credits each day/night cycle change.

    • You’ll instead gain 20 credits if Restricted Area Acceleration is activated.

  • Credits earned upon slaying a Mutant (In team modes, you’ll get Credits for teammate Mutant kills! No need to fight for last hit!)

    • Mutant Chicken: 3 (1)

    • Mutant Bat: 4 (2)

    • Mutant Boar: 4 (2)

    • Mutant Wild Dog: 5 (3)

    • Mutant Wolf: 6 (3)

Transfer Drones

Use credits to call in Transfer Drones to get a common (white) material delivered to you. Transfer Drones can be used to shorten your route, or to get materials that you missed on the way.

  • Transfer Drone Cost (Once)

    • Day 1: 15 Credits

    • Day 2: 16 Credits

    • Day 3: 17 Credits

    • Day 4: 18 Credits

  • Transfer Drones cannot be used in the first minute after the game starts.

  • Transfer Drones can only deliver common (white) materials that aren’t craftable.


Transfer Consoles

Players can order special materials through transfer consoles placed in 4 areas. Their Credit costs are expensive and you might have to fight to use one, but getting that special material might just be worth it!

  • Transfer Consoles activate at the start of Day 2.

  • Transfer Time: 25s

  • Transfer Console Cooldown: 60s

Mutants

Repeated experimentation has exposed the wild animals on Lumia to an unknown energy. These animals are more resilient than their non-mutated counterparts, but you’ll get Credits for slaying them.


  • Mutants are 10~20% bigger in size than normal wild animals and have sparks on their models.

  • Mutants have about 50% more max HP and 40% higher attack power compared to normal wild animals.

  • Mutants not only grant you Credits but also twice as much XP as normal wild animals.


Also, some changes for normal wild animals.

  • Chicken

    • Leather + Random (Meat 80%, Egg 20%) → Leather + Random (Meat 75% Feather 25%)

  • Wolf

    • XP 152 + Level * 12 → 160 + Level * 13

    • Attack Power: Level * 22 → 42 + Level * 17

    • No longer drops Meteorite or Mithril.

  • Bear

    • Attack Power: Level * 33 → 77 + Level * 21

    • No longer drops VF Blood Sample.

  • Wickeline

    • No longer drops First Aid Kit.


Gameplay Improvements

Reduction/Removal of Extra Basic Attack Damage & Extra Skill Damage

The Extra Basic Attack Damage and Extra Skill Damage mechanics have made damage calculation more complicated than it should be. Combined with other mechanics, it made certain characters overpowered, which also limited playstyles and range of skill expression. These two mechanics are planned to be either removed or reduced, and we’ll be buffing skill amplification as a stat to compensate.

  • Extra Basic Attack Damage on items have been reduced, and Extra Skill Damage as a stat has been removed from items altogether. (Check the Item category)

  • Skill Amplification scaling has been added to the skills of a few characters. (Check the Character category)


Critical Multiplier Adjustments

Now a slightly higher base multiplier critical damage. Stats on Creed of the Knight has been adjusted to keep it in line with this change.

  • Base Critical Multiplier 165% → 170%


Item Rarity Rework

With better accessibility to special materials due to the Transfer system, a lot of items are getting their rarity changed.

  • Legendary items that can be crafted through common materials are now only Epic rarity. (Ex: Radar)

  • Items that require Special Materials to be crafted are now Legendary rarity. (Ex: Mithril Armor)

  • All Special Materials are now Epic rarity. (Ex: Mithril)

  • Food, Drinks, and a few other items are currently excluded from this change. They will continue to be improved upon to fit the above criteria.


Muffled Footsteps in Bushes & Ghost Step Improvements

We know how important it is to hear enemy footsteps – they provide crucial information. Too much information actually. So by muffling footsteps this preseason, we're trying to make bushes more impactful in terms of having a tactical advantage.

You can now fight back or make a run for it as soon as you walk into the bush. We plan to gather feedback and continue to improve footsteps throughout the preseason.

  • Footsteps inside bushes have been muted entirely.

  • Reduced the probability of ghost steps(walking without making any sound), and footsteps across all characters has been equalized.


Action Cancelling (Crafting & Opening Air Supply)

Receiving damage while crafting or opening an Air Supply no longer cancels the action. Actions can now only be cancelled by crowd control.


Lumia Island Improvements

Flower Picking

Bloom baby, bloom!

  • You can now pick flowers on Lumia Island.

  • Gathering them once gives you 2 Flowers.

  • Flower is no longer an accessory and is now just a material. Flowers can stack up to 2.

  • Flowers can be gathered every 60 seconds.

  • Yellow: Added / Red: Deleted / Blue: Changed

Avenue Final Safe Area

We made the final safe zone in Avenue bigger!



Alpha/Omega Factory Location Change

Alpha and Omega will still appear in Factory, but closer to the edge.

Wickeline Improvements

Players can no longer pull Wickeline from really far distances.

  • Wickeline can no longer be aggroed from 15 meters away (Will still receive damage)


Pond, Cemetery Detail Improvements

Details in Pond and Cemetery will be improved for better optimization.


Other Improvements
  • Bots in Normal Duo or Squad matches no longer auto revive.

  • Extra filters for characters and skins in the Store and Collection tabs.

  • Red dots have been fixed to disappear upon entering the store.

  • Pop-ups after purchasing items now display how much currency you have left after the purchase.

Characters

Massive changes are coming to characters and items this preseason. Changes to characters are mostly related to the removal/reduction of Extra Basic Attack Damage and Extra Skill Damage. We know that changing these mechanics might drastically change the playstyles of some characters, so we’ve tried to compensate.

Transfer Drones and Transfer Consoles will also play a part in vastly shifting existing routes, and Mutants will open up different strategies as well.

We tried our best to compensate for the new changes, but as we all know, it’s pretty hard to tell what’ll happen in the preseason. Please continue to give us your feedback on balance!

Vision Logic Refactoring

The logic regarding Vision has been completely refactored. Our spaghetti code regarding this one has become more organized and will improve issues such as missing teammates and wild animals, basic attacks not working on specific characters, roofs not disappearing smoothly etc.

Although this will also help with optimization, there are some current issues that may create performance drops in some PCs. We’ve already located the issue regarding this and will be improved in upcoming updates.

Lobby Improvements

  • Nicknames in the loading screen have been fixed to match the ones in-game even when the ‘Hide Nickname from Enemy’ option is on.

  • Receiving new items in the mailbox before checking them in the store now makes the red dot disappear.
