Eternal Return Masters 2023 Season 1 Phase 2 Results

Hello Lumia Island survivors!

The Eternal Return Masters 2023 Season 1 Phase 2, which took place last week from September 8th to 10th, has come to a close.

There were plenty of new teams that we didn't get to see in Phase 1, as well as some of the old favorites showing off their seasoning and skill, so let's take a look at some of the highlights from the Phase 2 matches!

DAY 1 : GROUP STAGE

In the first Group A match, it was once again Naerreum who came out on top, this time with a strong showing of final survival throughout the four rounds, while the newcomers Favor, brought their own style to the table, finishing second in the group and advancing directly to the finals.

Favor's Hart-Haze combo had several moments that showed how well these players work together, with Hart's ultimate protecting her allies and keeping them at bay, and Haze picking off opponents one by one while staying out of range of Hart's ultimate.

In a tightly contested Group B, Asher and Fairy advanced directly to the finals. There were many great battles in Group B, where the scores were more closely distributed than Group A, so the two teams that achieved more wins went straight to the finals.

Team Fairy, who were competing for the first time, showed off their two ranged dealers, Jenny and Karla, and it was great to see how they were able to open up combat despite being ranged. We can't wait to see if this momentum carries over into the finals!

DAY 2 : WILDCARDS

After a slightly disappointing showing in Group Stage, OwO bounced back perfectly in Wildcards, finishing in first place with a whopping 51 kills, followed by Tricksters, Newclear and ClusteR to advance to the finals.

This Wildcards match featured some great moments in the skirmishes, with Raiden as Camilo at the center of it all. In a battle that began with Wickeline, the 100SOO player calmly took down his opponent despite being the first to leave the Battle Zone, which led him to the final survival.

Although they didn't make it to the finals, Cry from Moving also had a great performance. During the battle with the Family Man team at Hotel, they effectively ended the battle by hitting four people, including Nina, with an airborne weapon. The sharp collaboration with Blink was a truly impressive scene!

DAY 3 : FINALS

In an unprecedented final that saw every team score over 55 points, it was Asher who had the last laugh.

Naerreum pulled away first by reaching 55 points, but the final survival wasn't easy, especially in the 8th round, when Rio came to the rescue in a 3:3 battle with Newclear and prevented them from winning. There was a lot of talk of a "Rio advisory" in the rankings, and Romatic's incredible physicality led to some great shots!

On this day, Newclear showed signs of winning against Naerreum at every key moment. In particular, we were really impressed by the performance of seogunam's Laura, who calmly took out all the rest even though the first two people went down in the last round. Newclear is getting stronger and stronger, and we can’t wait to see what you do next!

It's hard to talk about what was the biggest factor in Asher's victory in the final round without mentioning the Wickeline steal. With Naerreum attempting a Wickeline burst first, Haemyu was able to swoop in and steal it, using their buffs to safely chase them out of the final Restricted Area.
