System
Since the early phase changes in Season 7, we’ve seen players repeatedly jumping back into fights with objectives even after losing against them. This has created an imbalance between the risk and reward of these encounters. With this hotfix, we’re increasing the penalty for being eliminated to balance this out.
We’re also increasing the base respawn time during the early stages where objective fights are frequent and reducing the HP players get upon revival. This will make it harder to immediately rejoin fights after being downed/eliminated. On top of that, repeated deaths now carry a heavier penalty, increasing the opportunity cost for overly aggressive plays.
We’ve also identified that food giving high health regen was contributing to longer early-game fights, particularly with the efficiency of Hunter’s Pot and Perpetual Stew being stronger than expected. As a result, we’re reducing the drop rate of Hunter’s Pot and reducing the healing amount of Perpetual Stew.
Given the significant shifts in early-game flow this season, we’ll continue monitoring feedback closely and remain open to further adjustments. Please keep sharing your feedback with us!

Starting Day 2, your revival wait time will be increased by Current Death Count * 1s.
This new penalty will affect the calculation of the revival wait time for your team when your team is wiped.

Character
We're making some adjustments to the characters that were reworked for S7.
First, for Leon, we’re increasing the airborne duration on E - Duck Dive and expanding the rear hit detection of his ultimate to allow for smoother combos upon hitting with his skills. Since his overall performance is not bad, we’ll continue monitoring before making any further adjustments to his overall stats.
Jan, on the other hand, has been struggling more significantly, so we’re increasing the airborne duration on Q2 - Leaping Knee and slightly reducing the cooldown of E - Bob and Weave to improve the flow of his combo. In addition, we’re increasing his base stats to help round out his overall performance.
As for Yuki and Alex, we haven’t seen any major issues post-rework yet, so we’ll continue monitoring their data before making any adjustments. It does seem like Yuki is currently showing a bit too much strength, so we’re dialing back his power slightly with this hotfix.
