PATCH NOTES 1.24 - June 20th, 2024

Servers will be temporarily offline for an estimated time of 4 hours on June 20th from 2 AM to 6 AM (UTC) to update Patch 1.24.


New Skins & Emotes

System

Temporary Safe Zone Improvements (1.25 Update)

We’re planning to make some improvements to our current Temporary Safe Zone system on our next 1.25 update on Thursday, July 4th.

(Due to the development schedule, these changes will first be implemented on the tournament server and are set to debut during the ER Masters S4 Phase 2, occurring next week.)


Temporary Safe Zone Process Changes

Areas will now be completely blocked off to ensure that teams will be unable to access the other Temporary Safe Zone in any way.

 

  • Day 6

    • 2 areas will be announced as Temporary Safe Zones.

    • If only 2 teams remain, Day 6 will last only for 30 seconds.

    • Duration 60s → 50s

  • Night 6

    • Each temporary safe zone will be blocked off for entry until only 1 team remains in each zone.

      • Test subjects that either enter or exit the safe zone during this duration will be immediately terminated.

    • Once a winning team is determined in each temporary safe zone, all eliminated teammates from the winning team are revived.

      • Test subjects recover 100% of their Max HP and 100% of their Max SP upon revival.

    • Safe Zones and Restricted Areas will stay activated until the end of Night 6.

    • If there is only 1 team in each Temporary Safe Zone at the start of Night 6, time will be accelerated to Day 7.

      • In this situation, each team will automatically be declared as the winner, and will revive all teammates.

      • Test subjects recover 5% of their Max HP and 20% of their Max SP upon revival.

    • All Wild Animals will be terminated and will no longer respawn.

    • Hyperloop, Kiosk, Launch Pads and White Lilies are deactivated.

    • Restricted Area Timer Recover 0s → 10s

    • Duration 70s → 90s

  • Day 7

    • The Final Safe Zone will be announced.

    • Restricted Area Timer Recover 40s → 20s

  • Night 7

    • The Final Safe Zone is designated.

We’ve found that the cooldown reduction effect from the Acceleration Battle Zone, when applied with certain Augments, was causing some problems. As a result, we’re removing this cooldown reduction effect as a temporary measure.

Unknown Number of Teams Remaining Rollback

We will rollback the feature where players would be unable to see the amount of remaining teams, which was applied at the start of Day 6 or when 3 or less teams remained.

We have received a lot of feedback that players were able to gain information about remaining teams indirectly through other methods, and that this feature also reduces the sense of accomplishment during the final victory. Thanks to your feedback, we will be able to work on improving and introducing a more advanced feature in the future.


Matchmaking Improvements (NA, EU Servers)

  • The new matchmaking will no longer allow Myth+ players to match with Plat players.

  • Diamond players will still be able to match with Plat users but only in the case that there are no Myth+ players inside the lobby. So it'll either be Diamond and over or Diamond and under lobbies.

  • We will be monitoring the servers to see if there are any potential issues that this change may cause so make sure to voice your feedback if anything happens! -Windy-

We’re increasing the cooldown of his W skill, Bouncing Shield, so he uses this skill more cautiously, and we’re reducing the duration of the root effect of his E to reduce some of the power it has when connected to an ally’s attack.

  • We’re adding an an indicator for the currently selected Spray during the Spray preview and preset selection.

  • We’re enhancing the user interface to automatically scroll the screen when you move up or down beyond the visible area while rearranging the order of your Augment slots during Augment editing.

  • You can now hide nicknames under Settings > Broadcast Mode > Hide Nickname.

    • The Hide Nickname option applies only to my screen, indluding both the result screen and chat.

    • We’ll send out the corresponding amount of NP refund to the accounts that didn’t correctly receive it.

  • The refresh button in the Personal Store will no longer be selectable during the refresh animation.

  • “The Last Two Surviving Teams” check box will no longer be incorrectly displayed under Settings > Operator > Operator Detailed Settings.

  • The graph page on the game results screen will now display correctly.

  • The exchange quantity of Sunset Tokens will now be correctly displayed in the items name in Exchange > Change Tokens.

  • “Currently Owned Characters” will no longer be displayed in the Skin Voucher UI.

  • “Close” in the Personal Store will no longer be displayed in Korean.

  • You’ll now be able to normally send replies to recent Whispers.

  • An error pop up will no longer be displayed when trying to disassemble items that are “Locked” in the Forging Menu.

  • Notifications will now be correctly displayed in Store > Bundles > Season Pack & Box.
