To compensate for the Season 7 change regarding Elimination Prevention, Eternal Return's score points during Day 1 will be adjusted. 

Masters Season 7 Phase 1 also had an overall change to the point matrix, but we have received continuous feedback.
We held internal discussions to see which adjustments could and should be made to ensure a positive viewing experience.
To compensate, we plan to adjust kill points during Elimination Prevention to 0.5 point(s).

• All Kills during Day 1 (in tournament ) → 0.5 point(s)
• All kills during and after Day 2 (in tournament) → 1 point(s) 

The inflation of total kills in the tournament increased around the end of Season 6, and the introduction of the new game system in Season 7 accelerated the inflation along with the decrease in respawn timer. We attempted to adjust the inflation through balance, but were not able to see an effective impact. Making early kills worth 0 points would decrease the amount of team fights early on, so we will be attempting to fairly adjust the kill point based on the risk attached to the potential kill. 

The new adjusted Day 1 kill point will take effect starting in Eternal Return Masters Season 7 Phase 2. We will keep a close eye on how the new point matrix will affect the tournament and rounds overall and will make adjustments if needed. 

Additionally, as some players may have already found out, Eternal Return has now been officially recognized by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a special official Professional Esports category. We wanted to express our gratitude towards all our players and viewers through the announcement. We will continue to work hard to host exciting and polished tournaments for all our fans.
