  • We’ve added a minimum range setting for Alpha, Omega and Meteorites so that the probabily of them spawning close to each other is decreased.

Temporary Safe Zones & Game Process Changes

Major adjustments have been made to the Temporary Safe Zones phase to address one of the most challenging aspects: increase the appeal of irrupting into another Temporary Safe Zone and engaging in battle to determine the final survivor. Although these changes may not fully solve the issue, they represent an improvement over the current state of the game. Further refinements to temporary safe zones are in the works to continue enhancing this critical phase of the game.

Temporary Safe Zones Designation Changes

  • A Temporary Safe Zone will now be divided into 2 zones, which makes the distance between the temporary safe zones even greater than before.

  • When the Temporary Safe Zone ends, one of the two areas will be designated as the Final Safe Zone.

  • Now, even if there are only 2 teams remaining the Temporary Safe Zone will not immediately end, increasing the risk of attempting to enter the remaining Temporary Safe Zone.

  • Hyperloops will be disabled during the Temporary Safe Zones phase.

Restricted Areas Designation Changes

During Day 3 and 4, we’re reducing the number of Safe Zones in order to make players face each other more often. On the other hand, starting from Day 5 Safe Zones will be disabled more gradually to make players less aware of other teams.

  • Restricted Areas Designation Phase Change

    • Safe Zones on Day 3: 15 → 13

    • Safe Zones on Night 3: 13 → 10

    • Safe Zones on Day 4: 9 → 7

    • Safe Zones on Night 4: 6 → 5

    • Safe Zones on Day 5: 4 (No Change)

    • Safe Zones on Night 5: 2 → 3

    • Safe Zones on Day 6: 1 → 2

We’re increasing the pace of the game by reducing the duration of Day 5 and 6. However, we’re increasing the duration of Day 7 to ensure movement according to the changes made to the Temporary Safe Zones .

  • Late Game Phase Duration Changes

    • Day 5 Duration 100s → 90s

    • Night 5 Duration 90s → 80s

    • Night 6 Duration 80s → 70s

    • Day 7 Duration 40s → 60s

We’re reducing the Restricted Area Count Restored during the Temporary Zafe Zones Phase to keep intruder players in check; for the Final Safe Zone phase, we’re increasing the Restricted Area Count Restored so that the team that needs to move can have different routes choices.

  • Restricted Area Count Changes

    • Day 6 (Temporary Zafe Zones Preparation Phase) Max Restricted Area Count 60s → 30s

    • Night 6(Temporary Zafe Zones Phase) Max Restricted Area Count 60s → 40s

    • Day 7 (Final Safe Zone Preparation Phase) Restricted Area Count Restored 30s → 40s

    • Night 7 (Final Zafe Zone Phase) Restricted Area Count Restored 0s → 40s

    • The amount restored to your restricted area count during the Temporary and Final Safe Zones phases cannot exceed the max restricted area count.

  • Restricted Area Count Restored from killing an enemy 5s → 8s

    • Damage Taken Reduction 40% + Target Level*1.8% → Damage Taken Reduction 40% + Target Level*2.5%

We’re greatly reduceing the crafting times for these Epic materials that took twice the time to be crafted.

  • Glacial Ice, True Samadhi Fire, Moonstone, Force Core Crafting Duration 3.5s → 1.2s

Smolder Mechanism Improvements

Smolder will no longer be additionally stacked through additional basic attacks.

  • Applied to: Li Dailin’s Passive Blood Alcohol Content (BAC), Felix’s Passive Retail Spearman

Character Direction Change Speed & Other Improvements

We're improving the responsiveness of character movement by making direction changes happen more quickly upon movement commands.

  • Direction changes will occur immediately, without delay, on the server and will only appear as a visual effect.

  • Basic attacks and skills fast application will remain unchanged.

  • With faster direction change animations upon movement commands, moving (right-clicking) rapidly will result in more agile character movement.

Additionally, since the Season 3 update, we've received feedback that the responsiveness of using skills back to back has changed, so we are currently tracking this issue.

  • Since the Season 3 update, some PCs have experienced a bug that lowers frame rate settings. Lower frame rate settings can affect responsiveness, and many cases have been resolved by raising the frame rate limit again.

  • We have conducted direct comparison tests between the Season 2 build and the current build, repeating several rounds of internal testing. So far, no clear differences have been found aside from the frame rate limit issue. We plan to conduct further tests with external participants regarding this matter.

  • On top of the changes noticed from Season 3, this has been a concern since beforethis season started and we've found a clue that may allow us to structurally improve the responsiveness of quick casts. We will provide updates on this matter separately as we progress.

Emma

Emma's Q - Dove Dealer and W - Hat Trick concentrate her damage, making each skill highly potent from the opponent's perspective, where getting hit by even one can result in significant damage. However, from the player's standpoint, missing even a single skill can lead to vulnerability.
