PATCH NOTES 1.22 - May 23rd, 2024

Servers will be temporarily offline for an estimated time of 5 hours on May 23rd from 2 AM to 7 AM (UTC) to update Patch 1.22.


2024 Season 4 Preseason Begins

After Season 3 wraps up, we're diving into a one-week preseason for Season 4!

*Season 3 will end on Wednesday, May 22nd 23:59 (UTC).

  • Season 3 Ranked Rewards (including the Cadet Elena Skin) will roll out at the start of Season 4, based on your final Season 3 Rank Points

    • For Immortal & Titan, rewards will be calculated based on your server and will be distributed accordingly.

  • Season 4 will begin on May 30th after maintenance (1.22.1).

  • At the start of Season 4, your ranked history during the preseason will get a soft reset based on your final scores.


Saved Plans & Augments Reset

Due to the addition of a variety of new augments and items as well as changes to Augments, existing Saved Plans and Augments will be reset.

Be sure to set your Saved Plans and Augments before starting your first match once preseason has started!


Season 4’s In-game Login Event

A new login event will be available during Season 4! Make sure to log in and collect all the special rewards we’ve prepared for you.

  • Rewards are given based on cumulative login days.

  • Attendance resets daily at 15:00 (UTC).

  • After getting the rewards for all 28 days, you’ll receive additional daily rewards whenever you log in to the game.


*The 5 Season Tokens offered as a day 6 reward will be available in the Exchange menu on Thurs, May 30th after maintenance.

Season 4 System Improvements

Personal Store

Discover a variety of items including Event Epic skins and Grab Bag Boxes exclusive to your Personal Store, as well as Skin Data Boxes available for purchase with A-Coin!

  • The item list consists of six slots, one of which will include an item at a discounted price.

  • The composition of the item list is determined by a probability.

  • The discount is also determined by a probability, with a min and max discount range of 10-50%.

  • Items in the Personal Store can be purchased with A-Coin or NP.

  • The Personal Store resets daily at 15:00 (UTC) with a new list of items. You can also refresh the list yourself by pressing the “Refresh” button.

  • Refreshing the list consumes a certain amount of currency and the refresh button can be used up to 20 times.

  • Your number of refreshes resets daily when the item list is reset.

  • You can access your Personal Store by clicking the Personal Store banner located in the Store > Personal Store.

  • Each player will see a different list of items in their Personal Store.

  • While most items will be available for purchase in your Personal Store, some, such as Cadet skins and recently released skins, will not be included.

New Settings and Improvements

The settings menu displayed in the Lobby will now take the full screen, allowing for a wider screen layout to view your settings.

  • The settings menu displayed during matches remains the same.

You’ll also be able to input numbers where needed within your Settings.

Skill Targeted Direction Trajectory 

  • You can now opt whether you want to see the trajectory of your skill or just its range.


Spawn Point Designation

When there are three or fewer players, the method of selecting a designated position based on priority will change to randomly assigning one from the higher priority spawning positions.


Communication Ping

(Ctlr + Left Click) “Wait!” will now be “Do you need something?”.


Season 4 Gameplay Changes

Crafting

  • Epic Equipment

    • Crafting Time 3.5s → 3s


Restricted Areas

Whenever a very small amount of teams remain during mid-game, new Restricted Areas will be designated.

  • Day/Night 3: 4 teams or less

  • Day/Night 4: 3 teams or less

  • Day 5: 2 teams or less


New Kill/Down System

Terminate/Clutch

Terminate/Clutch activates when your team wipes out an enemy team.

  • Terminate

    • Activates when your team wipes out an enemy team without the intervention of another team.

      • Your movement speed increases by 1 for 2.5 seconds. After, you're healed for 15%(+30% of Lost HP) of your Max HP and 50% of your Max SP.

  • Clutch

    • Activates when you wipe out a team while being the only survivor in your team. This effect is even more powerful.

      • Your movement speed increases by 150% for 2.5 seconds. After, you're healed for 15%(+30% of Lost HP) of your Max HP and 50% of your Max SP.

        • Movement Speed caps at 7.

      • After 2.5 seconds you recover the same amount of HP and SP once more.


S.O.S SYSTEM

If an ally is downed or killed, a slight stat boost is activated.

  • Comradeship in Crisis

    • You and your ally, united by the loss of your teammate, bond over your comradeship in crisis.

    • Comradeship in Crisis

      • Out of Combat HP Regen 2.0

      • Out of Combat Movement Speed 0.08

      • SP Regen 50%

      • Once your teammate is revived, this effect dissappears.

  • Lone Wolf

    • You teammates have been killed/downed and you are now on your own. You could say you're now a lone wolf.

      • Adaptability 15

      • Damage Taken Reduction 10%

      • Out of Combat HP Regen 2.0

      • Out of Combat Movement Speed 0.15

      • SP Regen 50%

      • Once a teammate is revived, this effect dissappears.


Damage Formula Changes

The calculations for defense and damage increase stats are being changed to a multiplication formula for a better synergy during team plays.

Defense Increase/Decrease Formula

  • Before: Sum of all increases in defense, then apply only the largest defense reduction.

    • Example: If there are two debuffs, a 20% and a 10% defense reduction, the greater reduction of 20% is applied.

  • To-be: All defense increases and reductions are now multiplied and then applied from the original defense.

    • Example: If there are two debuffs, a 20% and a 10% defense reduction, defense is reduced by 28% (80% x 90% = 72% of original defense).

  • Only percentage values are affected; flat value increases or reductions will continue to be added or subtracted.

  • Notably, this change will allow defense reductions to stack, creating synergy among skills that reduce defense.

Damage Dealt and Damage Taken Formula

  • Before: Sum all values for damage dealt and damage taken increase, then multiply by the final damage.

    • Example: If there's a 20% damage dealt increase and a 30% damage taken reduction, damage applied would be 90% (100% + 20% - 30%).

  • To-be: Each value for damage dealt and taken is now multiplied in the final damage.

    • Example: If there's a 20% damage dealt increase and a 30% damage taken reduction, damage applied is 84% (100% x 120% x 70%).

  • As with defense formula changes, only percentage values are affected; flat value increases or reductions will continue to be added or subtracted.


Shared Revival Cost


You'll be able to revive allies even if you don't have enough credits, as long as the revived ally has sufficient Credits to cover the shorfall.

  • If you have enough Credits to revive your allies, your Credits will be used first.

  • If you don’t have enough Credits to revive your allies, your allies' Credits will be used first.

  • You cannot revive allies if the sum of your Credits and your ally’s is not enough to revive them.


Environmental Variables - Weather Changes



We’re addig a weather variable to Lumia Island!

  • The weather variable will be randomly applied after you’ve matched and before you select your character.


There are two categories of weather: Main and Sub Weathers. One of each will be designated for each match.

  • Main: Cloudy/Clear/Rainy/Sandstorm

  • Sub: Windless/Foggy/Strong Winds/Lightning

  • However, Sandstorm and Foggy are not applied together.


Main Weather - Cloudy

  • Lumia Island's default weather with no effects applied.


Main Weather - Clear

  • Overall there are less brushes around the island.


  • Your vision range is increased.

    • Base Vision Range 8.5m → 10m 

  • Recovery from crafted consumables is also increased.

    • Additional Regen from Consumables 20%

    • This effect is not applied to the consumption of Air Supplies consumables or “Fried Chicken”, since these items are not crafted.

    • This effect is also not applied to the recovery from the Augment “Carnivore”.

  • You have higher chances to get Rare Materials from collecting potatoes and fishing.

    • Rare Material Probability 20% → 60%

  • You’ll find more Healing Sprays (Eco Objective) around the island.


Main Weather - Rainy

  • Overall there are more brushes around the island.


  • Your hearing range decrease due to the rain noise.

    • The range at which characters' voices and noises can be heard is reduced by 15%.

  • Wild animals' attack power is reduced due to them feeling heavier from the rain.

    • Wild Animals' Attack Power is reduced by 15%.

  • You’ll find more Glowing Flowers (Eco Objective) around the island.


Main Weather - Sandstorm

 

  • Harsh sandstorms apply a mild healing reduction effect to all test subjects in combat.

    • Healing Reduction due to Sandstorms 20%

    • Healing Reduction isn’t stacked. Instead, only the highest value is applied.

  • Sandstorms reduce characters' vision range.

    • Base Vision Range 8.5m → 7m 

  • A whirlwind is created in certain locations around the island.


  • Targets hit by the whirlwind are untargetable for 3 seconds.

  • After the untargetable is over you can right click to go over walls.

  • You’ll find more Sandy Mushrooms (Eco Objective) around the island.


Sub Weather - Windless

  • Lumia Island's default weather with no effects applied.


Sub Weather - Foggy

  • Information is limited due to the fog. Noise pings are not displayed on the minimap or the expanded map.


  • Additionally, air supplies' location is not displayed.


Sub Weather - Strong Winds

  • Your base movement speed is increased.

    • Base Movement Speed Increase 5%

  • Strong Wind zones are created in specific areas.


  • Moving with the Strong Winds increases your movement speed.

    • Movement Speed Increase 30%

    • You won’t be slowed if you move against the wind.


Sub Weather - Lightning

 

  • Lightning strikes happen all around the island except in Restricted Areas.

  • The lighting strikes deal damage based on your Max HP and the frequency of lightning strikes increases over the course of the experiment.

    • Damage based on Max HP 15%


Environmental Variables - Eco Objectives

Along with weather changes, flora known as Eco Objectives will be added to Lumia Island.

Glowing Flower


  • The flower emits a fan-shaped light and wave following the direction of the attack.

  • The wave increases your vision range and you gain vision from enemy test subjects within range for a certain period of time.

    • Vision range is increased for 3 seconds, warning the targets.

    • The wave is invisible to the targets, so they cannot know where it’s coming from.

  • Flower’s Cooldown: 60s


White Lily

 

  • When the lily is activated targets within a circular range from it are powerfully knocked back.

    • Knock Back 12m

  • Knocked back targets can go over walls.

  • Lily’s Cooldown: 30s


Healing Spray


  • When healing spray is activated tests subjects within range are healed.

  • The spray’s healing effect applies to both allies and enemies based on their Max HP. 

    • Duration 10s

    • Recovery based on Max HP per second 5%

  • Spray’s Cooldown: 30s


Sandy Mushroom

 

  • When the mushroom is activated it releases a cloud of sand around it that makes targets within it to become invisible.

  • The cloud of sand acts as a brush and dissappears after a certain amount of time.

    • Vision from inside the cloud is not shared with anyone outside of it.

    • Vision is shared within the cloud.

    • Cloud Duration 15s

  • Mushroom's Cooldown: 30s


Bomb Fruit

 

  • The fruits are released in the opposite direction of the attacker in a fan shape, dealing damage.

  • The fruits deal damage based on their max HP, wild animals take additional damage.

    • Damage dealt to

      • Characters and Boss Monsters based on their Max HP 15%

      • Wild Animals based on their Max HP 40%

  • Damage is not applied to allies.

  • Bomb Fruit’s Cooldown: 30s


Debuff Icons and Duration

The type of debuffs applied and their duration will be displayed more intuitively.

  • An icon corresponding to the type of debuff will be added next to its name displayed above the HP bar.

    • Each debuff icon will have a unique color.

  • The duration of the debuff will be displayed as a white gauge above the HP bar.

New Augment: Chaos & Augments Revamp

Secondary Augments Selection

  • We're tweaking the rules for selecting Augments. In Season 4 you can only select one Secondary Augment from the left and one from the right.



(New Category) Chaos



  • (New Core Augment) Stellar Charge 

    • Activating different skills within 5 seconds causes a Stellar Charge. At 3 stacks, your next basic attack within 5 seconds deals the following effects depending on your target.

      • Enemy Test Subject and their Summons: You deal 32~70 additional true damage, your basic skill's cooldown is reduced by 30%.

        • Cooldown: 15s

      • Wild Animals: You deal 64~140 additional true damage, your basic skill's cooldown is reduced by 10%.

        • Cooldown: 6s



  • (New Core Augment) Ghost Light 

    • Dealing damage equal to 25% of your enemy's Max HP within 3 seconds releases a ghost light that attacks the enemy, dealing 72~300(+70% Additional Attack Power)(+30% Skill Amp) damage over 5 seconds and applying 40% healing reduction.

    • Not dealing damage to your enemy for 5 seconds causes your cooldown to reduce twice as fast.

      • Cooldown: 30s



  • Red Sprite

    • Category Change: Havoc → Chaos

    • Damage 15(+Level*2)(+Extra Attack Power 20% or Skill Amplification 26%) → 15(+Level*2)(+Extra Attack Power 20% or Skill Amplification 28%)

      • Single Target Additional Damage (REMOVED)

    • Targets further than 5m away take 20% more damage.

    • Chained Damage 50% → 80%


  • (New Secondary Augment) Circular System

    • Recover HP equal to 30% of the SP consumed to activate a skill for 3 seconds.

    • Ony applied once per second, per skill.



  • (New Secondary Augment) Power Crescendo

    • You gain 0~2 Adaptability when Day/Night changes. You can accumulate more Adabtability over time.



  • (New Secondary Augment) Overwatch 

    • Your cooldown reduction is increased by 5%.
      Reaching max cooldown reduction grants you 5 Adaptability for every 5% of excess. (Max Adaptability: 10%)



  • (New Secondary Augment) R_echarger 

    • Using an ultimate skill reduces 15% of the cooldown of that skill.



  • Open Wounds

    • Category Change: Havoc → Chaos

    • Damage 30(+Level*4) → 10(+Level*2)(+Target's Current HP 8%)

    • Cooldown 5s → 12s



  • Stopping Power

    • Category Change: Havoc → Chaos

    • Armor penetration Increase 4% (REMOVED)

    • (NEW) Dealing damage to an enemy increases your Armor Penetration by 8% for 5s. 
      Armor penetration increase is also applied to initial damage.

      • Cooldown 12s

  • (New Core Augment) Accelerator

    • Using basic attacks against enemy test subjects makes your 3rd basic attacks' speed increase by 120% and lifts the attack speed limit. The effect ends if you don't use your next basic attack within 3 seconds. Your last basic attack deals 10~135(+Extra Attack Power 55%)(+Skill Amplification 35%) skill damage.

      • Cooldown 10s

    • This augment does not lift the attack speed limit for test subjects with a limited attack speed.

  • Frailty Infliction

    • Damage (Level*2) → 30(+Level*3)

    • Defense Reduction (Level*1.5)% → 10(+Level*1)%

  • Vampiric Bloodline

  • Due to changes in the Defense Reduction formula, we’re tweaking character stats related to defense reduction.

Tsubame

Tsubame going against enemies and using her ult skill over and over again to chase and eliminate them felt extremely unfair in certain situations. We are now planning to shift her focus from consecutive skill use to more reliance on basic attack damage. Critical strikes that previously did not occur will now activate, and her attack range will no longer be fixed.

Tsubame's new passive, P - Life and Death Seal, will now inflict significant damage every 4 basic attacks, and her new ultimate, R - Higuruma's Elimination Technique, will be harder to use consecutively. We’ll also add a pre-delay to it, but now instead all enemies will take damage. E - The Art of Camouflage will no longer make her untargetable and her invisibility duration will be reduced, however, she can reuse this skill to teleport to the location of the log.
