Servers will be temporarily offline for an estimated time of 6 hours on October 26th from 2 AM to 8 AM (UTC) to update Patch 1.7.


Season 2 Preseason Begins

The first season after Official Launch is coming to an end in only a few hours! 1.7 Update will mark the beginning of Season 2's Preseason that will run for the next 2 weeks.

  • Season 1 Ranked Rewards (including the Cadet Bianca skin), which are awarded based on your final Season 1 Rank Points, will be awarded at the start of Season 2.

  • Season 2 is scheduled to begin on November 9th, 2023 after maintenance (1.8 Update).

  • At the start of Season 2, your ranked history during the corresponding Preseason will be soft-reset based on your final score.

Season 2 System Revamp

Collect from adjacent corpses at once

Clicking on 1 corpse among multiple overlapping wild animals and test subject corpses will now show the items they all own at once.


Escape Votes And Area Visibility Improvements

We’re introducing a voting system for moving to the escape area, so that you can only move to the Abandoned Dock (Escape area) when you have a majority of votes in favor. This will also improve the awarness of this area as well as the movement visibility within the escape area.

  • Escape Votes

    • If one team member purchases a Rootkit, an escape voting window will appear.

    • If a majority votes in favor within 30 seconds of the voting being started, the decision to escape will pass and the team will move to the Abandoned Dock.

      • If the decision is against moving to the Escape area, a second round of voting can be held two minutes later using another Rootkit.

      • After purchasing the first Rootkit in the game, the 5 second Escape restriction is removed.

      • The Rootkit can only be used by the team that purchased it.

  • We’re also improving the visibility into escape areas

    • After the decision to escape has been taken, the Abandoned Dock area will blink green on the minimap.

    • We’ve also added a 1-minute waiting notice after someone has moved to the Abandoned Dock. 


Launch Pad Animation Improvements

Launch Pad Animation effects in Pond and Cemetery will now look a bit more natural.

(NEW) Ping Types & Improvements

We're adding a variety of pings that you can activate with the commands Alt + Left-click to help you communicate better with your teammates.

  • You can ping items you need from the Kiosk, including revivals and Rootkits.

  • You can now use the same ping as the Expanded Map (M) to check the map on the Scoreboard (TAB). (This will be the ping for required materials when you’re checking Show Items to Collect.) Also, when you ping an objective’s timer, the color will show the rarity and type of objective.

  • You will also get to know how many items you have when you ping a specific item you own.

  • You will also be able to ping Launch Pads and Campfires.

  • Air Supply Pings will also show you the different box types. (Including the Ctrl + left-click Ping).

  • A (NEW) ping will let you know the number of teams and survivors remaining.

  • You can now ping for items in the equipment or inventory of an enemy test subject or wild animal.

  • A (NEW) "Craft Request" ping will be available when you select the Craft button.

  • You’ll be able to see the exact name of a skill when you select the skill button.


Toggle Remote Drone Calling in the Search Guide

You can now disable remote drone calls with a right-click in the Search Guide UI.
If you want to prevent accidental purchases while on the go, you can now use this (NEW) function!

  

Spectating UI Improvements (After Being Eliminated)

If you die before your teammates, you'll now be able to see crafting related information while you're spectating.

  • Kills, Deaths, and Assists

  • Opening the VPad

  • However, you won’t be able to request remote drones from your Saved Plans or the VPad.

  

Team Lobby Slot Backgrounds

Ranked Entry Cost Changes

We're changing the entry costs for each tier of Ranked Matches. Entry costs will increase for Diamond tiers and decrease for Mythril or higher.

  • Silver 4: 18 RP (2 RP increase per sub-tier) → 20 RP (2 RP increase per sub-tier)

  • Gold 4: 26 RP (2 RP increase per sub-tier) → 30 RP (2 RP increase per sub-tier)

  • Platinum 4: 34 RP (2 RP increase per sub-tier) → 40 RP (2 RP increase per sub-tier)

  • Diamond 4: 43 RP (2 RP increase per sub-tier) → 50 RP (1 RP increase per sub-tier)

  • Mythril: 55 RP (3 RP increase every 250 points) → 55 RP (2 RP increase every 250 points)

 

Other System Improvements

  • You’ll now be able to see Mastery effects when you hover over a Weapon icon on the Game Preparation phase to get an idea of the builld’s direction.

  • You’ll also be able to see your teammates' tactical skill cooldowns in Scoreboard / Match Status(Tab).

  • Even if you do not die in a restricted area, if your restricted area count is less than 7 seconds when you respawn, your restricted area count will be restored to 7 seconds.

  • If you select a Meteorite as a crafting target, you will only see the locations where you can currently obtain meteorites, rather than all locations where meteorites can appear.

 

Season 2 Gameplay Changes

Temporary Safe Zone Improvements

We’re working on reducing the advantages and disadvantages that arise due to the order of the battles when there are 3 or more teams left in the Temporary Safe Zones.

  • Satellite Radars and Security Consoles will stop working once the Temporary Safe Zone phase begins.

  • We’ll enable Temporary safe zones as far apart as possible from each other to avoid double occupations. The last safe zones will also be partially changed accordingly.

  • You won’t be able to see the status (border color) of the temporary safe zones out of your sight.

  • Temporary safe zones and later phase adjustment details

    • Night 5 (Temporary Safe Zones) 70s → 80s

    • Day 6 (Final Restricted Area Lifted) 30s → 40s

    • Night 6 (Last Safe Zones) 60s → 70s

    • During Night 5 (Temporary Safe Zones Phase)

      • Day 6 will immediately begin as soon as there are only 2 teams left.

    • Day 6 Restricted Area Recovery Increase 15s → 20s

    • These adjustments intend to

      • Give more room to the winnining team from one of the temporary safe zones to reorganize for Day 6 and the Restricted Area count as soon as 2 teams are left.

      • Increase the length of the Temporary Safe Zones Phase to reduce the chances of 3 teams being left on Day 6.

 

Restricted Area Frequency Adjustments

We’re adjusting the number of Restricted Areas before Day 5 so players can have more areas to explore after Day 3, as well as to reduce the frequency of multiple teams getting tangled up in battles.

  • Number of designated restricted areas on Day 3: 2 → 1

  • Number of designated restricted areas on Night 5: 2 → 3

 

Shared Mastery Increase from Slaying Wild Animals

We are increasing the amount of mastery shared when teammates hunt wild animals together, making players put more importance in teamwork and preventing a large level gap between teammates.

  • Hunting Wild Animals:

    • Mastery gain with 1 teammate (Slayer/Nearby teammate) 100/60% → 100/70%

    • Mastery gain with 2 teammates (Slayer/Nearby teammates) 100/60/60% → 100/70/70%

 

Mastery Gain Adjustments

We’re increasing mastery gains for low level players to make up for some of the difference between them and the highest level players.

  • Before:

    • 6 Levels Mastery Difference: Additional 20% gain

    • 11 Levels Mastery Difference: Additional 50% gain

  • To Be: 

    • 3 Levels Mastery Difference: Additional 25% gain

    • 6 Levels Mastery Difference: Additional 50% gain

  • However, any additional mastery gained is progressively adjusted (e.g., if you gain mastery and level up when you are 3 levels behind, you’ll only gain additional mastery for the time before you level up).


Battle Zone Changes

We’re punishing avoiding combat and wasting other teams' time in Battle Zones.

  • Corrosion Natural Recovery 33% Increase 

  • Corrosion Recovery from Shuttles 25% Increase 

 

Kiosk Improvements

Boxes appear a little faster when ordering from a Kiosk, increasing team maintenance tempo and reducing the chance of boxes being looted from you.

  • Wait time between Kiosk order and box arrival 2s → 1s

 

Wild Animals & Traps

  • Max number of traps installed 3 → 2

  • Boars now provide more meat.

    • Meat Gained 1 → 2

 

Integrated Healing Reduction

We’re giving you a more intuitive integration of Healing Reduction from items.

  • We’re making healing reduction from basic attacks and skills into one, so that you can apply this effect to your enemies regardless of the type of attack!

  • Without distinguishing between melee and ranged, mild healing reduction reduces healing by 40%, and strong healing reduction reduces healing by 60%.


Augments Revamp

Augments are undergoing a major revamp for Season 2. We're removing and nerfing augments that are too versatile or, conversely, too underutilized, as well as augments that provide too much counter attack. We’re also introducing new augments that will strengthen positions and support different playstyles.

If your Saved Plan contains augments that are being reclassified or removed in the revamp, they will be replaced with others. We recommend that you check the Saved Plan menu to see which augments are set in the there before starting the game.


Havoc

  • Adrenaline (Core Augment)

    • Melee: Basic Attack Amplification at Max Stacks 1.2(+Level*0.5)% → 4.2(+Level*0.35)%

    • Ranged: Basic Attack Amplification at Max Stacks 1(+Level*0.4)% → 4(+Level*0.25)%

  •  (NEW) Open Wounds 

    • Deals 20 (+Level*3) skill damage over 2 seconds when you damage an enemy.

    • Cooldown 8s

  •  (NEW) Carnivore 

    • The recovery amount from meat, a Common food, is increased by 100%. Also, as soon as the meat's recovery effect is activated, 100 of HP is recovered.

  • Endorphin

    • Spirit Culling has been changed to Endorphin and it now gives SP Regen while in combat.

    •  (NEW) SP Recovery increased by 100% when in combat. 

    • SP Recovery from Damage Dealt 15% → 20%

  • Dismantle Goliath

    • Increased Damage by Max HP Difference 3.5~14% → 2~8%

  • Frenzy, Stopping Power, Vengeance (REMOVED)

 

Fortification

  • Diamond Shard (Core Augment)

    • Defense Increase 30+(Level*3) → 30+(Level*4)

    • Cooldown 30s → 25s

  •  (NEW) Camping Guide 

    • Starting on Day 2, you gain 1 Portable Campfire Kit per day.

      • If you run out of inventory space, it drops to the floor.

    • The chance of getting good food ingredients from fishing and collecting potatoes increases.

      • Salmon Drop Chance 20% → 40%

  • Cavalcade

    • If there are no allies within 5 meters of you, you enter Cavalcade status and take less damage.

  • Unwavering Mentality

    • The Support Augment Assembly is now the Fortification Augment Unwavering Mentality.

    • Now only you will gain a shield (not your teammates).

  • Bitter Retribution

    • Damage reduction based on the amount of stacks you have.

      •  (NEW) 0.2% less damage taken per stack

  • Healing Drone (Core Augment)

    • Activated when using Ultimate → Activates when allies within 3m, including yourself, take damage when their HP is below 40%.

      • If there are any allies within 4.5 meters with HP below 40%, the Healing Drone activation range effect will be displayed.

    • Healing Drone Recovery Duration 5s → 3s

    • Recovery per second (3+Level*0.15)% of missing HP → (3+Level*0.5)% of missing HP

    • Cooldown 30 → 45s

  • Amplification Drone (Core Augment)

    • Skill Amplification (15+Level*1)% Increase Skill Damage (5+Level*0.5)% increase

  •  (NEW) Thrill of the Hunt 

    • You and your summons deal 10% increased damage to wild animals.

    • Killing a wild animal heals you for 40 (+5% Attack Power) (+3% Skill Amplification) - 120 (+15% Attack Power) (+9% Skill Amplification) of HP lost, and your movement speed increases by 12% and gradually decreases over 2 seconds.

  • Urban Warfare

    • Currect Effect - Increased Attack or Defense when activating a trap (REMOVED)

    • (NEW) Increases the maximum number of traps installed by 1. 

    • (NEW) Trap reinstall cooldown reduced by 80%.

    • Drop item change: 2 Disinfectants → 2 Telephoto Cameras

Tactical Skills

(NEW) The Strijder 

  • Increases your movement speed by 20/30/30% for 3 seconds.

  • Movement speed adittionally increases by 10/20/20% for 0.5 seconds, decaying over time.

  • Damaging an enemy ends the movement speed increase, dealing (100+level*15) extra skill damage.

    • Level 3 Module Enhancement: Slows enemies by (Melee) 50% /(Ranged) 25% for 2 seconds.

  • Cooldown 60/30/30s

  

Soul Stealer

  • (NEW) Gain energy from enemies you have on your vision range. 

  • (NEW) After being targeted by Soul Stealer, you cannot be targeted again for 15 seconds.

  • Maximum Energy Charge 50/50/80 → 70/70/99

 

Electric Shift

  • Travel Distance 2m → 2.5m

 

Quake

  • Level 3 Module Enhancement change.

    • When in combat, unleashes a shockwave every 3.5 meters dealing (50+Character level *5) skill damage. (REMOVED)

    • (NEW) Deals (20+level*5) skill damage to a surrounding 4m range at 0.5 second intervals for 5 seconds when used. 

 

Protocol Violation

  • Active Time after use 3s → 2.5s

  • Allies HP Increase 100/200/300(+Level*5/10/15) → 100/100/200(+Level*5/10/15)

 

Nullification

  • (NEW) Increases movement speed by 30% and then gradually decreases.

Characters & Items Thought Process and Direction
  • To allow for more intuitive cooldown calculations, cooldown reduction equipment has been changed to 5% increments.

    • However, there is a lot of variation in the amount of cooldown reduction associated with the transition to Legendary equipment, with some exceeding the maximum cooldown reduction and other Legendary equipment having less cooldown reduction than Epic equipment.

    • We’ll keep the preseason period a little more diverse and we plan to make additional detailed adjustments in the future based on your feedback.

  • The new item Tactical Armor, is a legendary chest equipment useful for Assassins with Reaper's Scythe that eliminate enemies with little health. Helix, is a legendary arm equipment for Figthers with a Pulverization that reduces enemy’s defense.

  • In addition, Guardian Suit will also get Spearhead which is useful for Tanks to slow nearby enemies and increase their Tenacity. Blood Cloak and Astronaut's Helmet will get Decomposition so they can deal damage based on enemy's Max HP, making DPS more effective against solid Tanks.

  • Ranged basic attack characters get stronger when they collect enough Legendary equipment, but we’re tweaking them a bit so their early game performance is improved overall as it is was too weak before thenAdditionally, we’re also reorganizing Augments in the same way by strengthening the early stage of Adrenaline and weakening Dismantle Goliath.

  • Melee weapons with particularly short ranges, such as Glove, Dagger, and Bat, are slightly nerfed to reduce the difficulty of basic attacks.


Nadine

Wild stacks will also be granted when killing test subjects so Nadine doesn't lose too much tempo for joining team fights.

After the 1.0 update, the frequency of Sanctuary (W) being cut off by enemies while in use has increased significantly. As the response probability has increased, we will adjust the cooldown so Bianca can use her W skill more often.

Celine

We’re buffing her Throw weapon skills as well as her mastery and skill damage.

Xiukai

Xiukai will no longer become overly dangerous when failing to hit with Wok It Off (E). Wok It Off (E2) will change its effect on hit from reducing the enemy's defense to slowing them.

Shoichi

After the 1.0 update, Shoichi's power was strengthened due to changes such as the addition of the dagger creation ability of Phony Deal (P), the reduction of the post-delay of Risky Business (E), and the addition of tactical skills. These changes were not very noticeable, but as Shoichi players grew in skill, their power increased noticeably.

In particular, he is very powerful in early game, when the damage and durability of the test subjects are low on average. To adjust this, we are making it more difficult to create Phony Deal (P) daggers and we’re adding reducing the initial damage of the overall skill.

However, Shoichi’s late game stats aren't great, so we're making up for it by improving the performance of Legendary weapons and increasing the late game damage of his skills.

Sua's Don Quixote (E) provides a high recovery amount based on the current maximum recovery amount, but has a relatively low recovery base amount otherwise. To adjust this, we’re increasing base recovery and decreasing max recovery to achieve balance.

We’re allowing movement when casting Go Get ‘Em Wilson! (Q). Girl in a Bubble? (W) is not doing so well as a skill to help Sissela survive fights, so we’re adding a movement speed increase effect to enhance its survivability. Additionally, the main skill will now deal damage on the path of Wilson’s movement.

Gameplay Improvements

  • We’ve adjusted the distribution of Steel Chain in the Fire Station.

  • We’ve made a few minor control improvements.

  • We’ve changed the logic to target enemies near your attack range when you release an attack on the ground in an empty area.

  • We’ve improved kiting for Melee and ranged weapons such as Pistols and Shurikens.

  • Ranged weapons such as bows and sniper rifles will no longer attack enemies while hunting.

  • Fine control has been improved for some movement skills by adjusting whether movement commands are remembered depending on the direction you are facing.

Character & Weapon Improvements

  • Using the Hammer weapon skill Armor Piercing (D) will no longer deal damage before the damage range is displayed.

  • Martina: Using a Launch Pad while resting when using Rewind (E) will now return to the original position after the effect duration expires.

  • Bernice: Bernice will now normally reload during his basic attacks when he’s out of ammo.
