PATCH NOTES 1.14 - February 1st, 2024

Servers will be temporarily offline for an estimated time of 4 hours on February 1st from 2 AM to 6 AM (UTC) to update Patch 1.14.

End of Season 2

Season 2 Ranks are scheduled to end on February 15th 00:00 (UTC).

We’re aiming for more of a statistical adjustment rather than a gameplay change for this Season 2’s final patch. On one hand, we don't want to be too adventurous with the Season Rank’s last update as it could have an overly significant impact on final ranks. On the other hand, the 1.15 update that will be released at the end of the Season Rank, will bring a lot of changes to the upcoming Season 3, so much of the coding is currently frozen for testing.

Unlike Season 2, which didn't have major overhauls, Season 3 is expected to undergo much more proactive changes.

Wild Animals Attack Status and Tracking Distance Icons

Icons will be added to Boss Monsters and Mutants to more intuitively recognize when they are attacking and how far away they are.

We're restoring some of Adriana's power that was overly nerfed in the last patch, most notably by increasing the damage of her high-hit Flamethrower (Q) to make her combat ability stronger when she successfully lands her skills.

Aya

We’re decreasing the basic attack damage of her assault rifle, which has a high pick rate and win rate

Isol

We’re powering up Pistol Isol, which has been showing a low win rate and average score.

Alonso

Alonso continues to record low stats. His average damage output has increased significantly, so we're reducing the cooldown of his Al Ataque! (E) to enhance his defense abilities.

Echion

We’re buffing the power of his Death Adder, which is the weakest of his three weapons.

Irem

We are lowering the durability of Irem, who has a very good average team rank and score gain.

  • Defense per Level 3.5 → 3.1

 

Eva

We’re enhancing the survival and positioning abilities of Eva, who has a low average score.

  • Amethyst Flow (E)

    • Cooldown 12s → 11s

 

Ly Anh

Ly Anh is still finding it difficult to transform, and even after she does, she’s not powerful enough. We're increasing her durability to improve her overall performance.

  • Defense per Level 3.1 → 3.4

 

Tsubame

We’re changing the HP Recovery of Life and Death Seal (R) from being based on the amount of damage to a fixed amount upon hitting the target. This will increase the initial recovery amount on the first target hit but decrease it as stacks accumulate.

Kenneth

We’re nerfing the power of Kenneth when choosing a defensive item setup.

  • Flame Crush (R)

Tazia

The launch position of Tazia's projectiles are being adjusted to match the actual effect position.

 

Felix

We’re increasing the power of Felix, who has a low pick rate and average score.

Fiora

Fiora will get a skill buff in the upcoming 1.15 update. Currently, Flèche (R) increased delay needs a buff, but we will carefully adjust it until the skill improvements are made. For now we’re reducing the cooldown of Attaque Composée (W) to increase her combat abilities.

Piolo

We’re strengthening the power of the shield created when hitting a target with The Punisher (R), allowing Piolo to approach enemies more consistently.

    • Shield Duration 3s → 4s

 

Haze

We want to make it easier to play Haze by mitigating the movement speed reduction while using Rocket Launcher (R).

    • Slowed while in use 0.4 → 0.3

 

Hyunwoo

We’re helping Hyunwoo a bit as he has been showing low average score.

Cobalt Protocol

We would like to implement experimental changes to Cobalt Protocol's tactical skills. Starting by changing the basic tactical skill to Impulse and removing the tactical skill change cost. These adjustments are temporary for future improvements to be introduced based on feedback and may be changed again.


Tactical Skills

The starting game tactical skill Blessing will be changed to Impulse.

The purchase cost of all Cobalt tactical skills will be set to 0 Credits!

  • Prayer (REMOVED)

  • (NEW) Lightning Shield 

    • You and your targeted allies gain a shield for 4.5 seconds, eliminating all debuffs and crowd control effects.

    • The shield absorbs 400(+Skill Amplification 10%) damage, and nearby enemies take 100 + 100% of the shield's absorbed damage as skill damage when the shield disappears.

    • Range: Unlimited

    • Cooldown: 17s

  • (NEW) Gravitational Field

    • Pull all enemy test subjects within 3.75m towards the caster, dealing 300 true damage and stunning them for 1.45 seconds.

    • Cooldown: 60s

  • Impulse

    • Travel Distance: 9m → 7m

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Gameplay Improvements

  • “The Juggernaut” will now be appear correctly in the Tree of Life’s top item list in the in-game Crafting Menu (B).

  • Effects will now display correctly when using certain skills in any terrain.

  • In-game whisper sounds will now be played correctly.

  • Wild animal names will now be displayed correctly when pinging a location where they are expected to spawn.

  • The "Untargetable" status will now be properly shown at the top of the HP bar for all test subjects' skills.

  • The Revival Area ping for allies will now be displayed correctly upon their revival

  • Cobalt Protocol: Health Insurance’s tooltip will now correctly indicate the conditions for increased movement speed.


Character & Weapon Improvements

  • The stun duration in the Crossbow weapon skill Expulsion Shot (D) will now be correctly displayed.

  • The hit range of certain test subject skills will now align with the indicator range.

  • Nicky: The Short Tempered (P) tooltip will now specify the attack method for dealing skill Area Damage.

  • Mai: The Exclusive(R)'s Shawl Veil (W) effect and the Catwalk (E) shield effect will no longer get separated from her mid-air.

  • Barbara: The BT Sentry Gun Mk.II (Q) projectiles will no longer stop momentarily after an attack while using the Interstellar Barbara skin.

  • Bernice: The extra bullet firing animation will now be correctly displayed during a critical attack using Buckshot (P).

  • Xiukai: The enemy identification border color will now display correctly from the enemy's perspective when using Lost in the Sauce (Q).

  • Adela: The animation and impact timing of Promotion (Q) will now match.

  • Aya: The casting time and skill firing time will now match when applying the casting time reduction effect based on the attack speed of Double Shot (Q).

  • Jenny: You can no longer use installation items while using Play Dead (P).

  • Kenneth: Items will now be correctly displayed in the detailed tooltip of Suppressed Rage (P).

  • Kenneth: Items will now be correctly displayed in the general tooltip of Fury Strike (Q).

  • Nina: Nina’s HP bar color will now match her team color.

  • Tazia: Glass Shards generated by Stiletto (Q) and Artigianato (P) Difettoso effects will no longer be partially obscured in terrain with elevation differences.

  • Theodore: The projectile’s path will now be correctly displayed when moving immediately after using Blast Energy Field (R).

  • Felix: The Shield value will now be correctly shown in the Retail Spearman (P) tooltip.

  • Haze: The projectile’s location and hit effect of Rocket Acceleration(R-Q) will now correctly match.

  • Cobalt Protocol: Alonso’s Plasma Barrier (P) will now appear correctly when on cooldown upon revival.

 

Lobby Improvements

  • The “Find a Match” button can now be disabled when a teammate is in the Results or Stats screen.

  • Some sound button improvements are in the works.

  • Tombstone, Surveillance Camera Skin, and Drone Skin effects will now be visible in Collectibles.

  • The ER Pass mission animation will now appear correctly when you hover over it.

  • The Daily Quest's tooltip will now accurately reflect the completion requirements.

  • The item quantity will now be updated when purchasing a Research Center Data Box in Forging.

  • Skins will now be sorted correctly when you select the "By Most Played Character" filter in Collectibles > Skin.

  • Tokens will now be sorted correctly in Forging > Exchange.

  • The Saved Plan List will display in the correct language on the Search Saved Plans page after you change the language settings.

  • The "+" symbol will no longer appear when configuring a skill quick-cast key combination in Settings > Input > Tactical Skills.
