PATCH NOTES 1.23 - June 5th, 2024

Servers will be temporarily offline for an estimated time of 4 hours on June 5th from 2 AM to 6 AM (UTC) to update Patch 1.23.


New Character - Darko

The bat wielding loan shark is making Lumia his new business ground.

Darko will cost 9,900 A-Coin in his first 2 weeks post-release. He will be available in Ranked matches starting on Tuesday, June 11th.

Sly Thief (P)

Darko performs a basic attack, stealing 4/7/10% of his target's defense for seconds.

  • Cooldown: 8s


Loan Shark (Q)

Darko's movement speed increases 15% for 2 seconds when he moves towards an enemy test subject.

His next basic attack deals 20/40/60/80/100(+Attack Power 40%)(+Target's Max HP 5%) additional skill damage and leaves a mark on the target for 5 seconds. Using this skill on a marked target increases Damage Dealt by 10/20/30/40/50% 

  • Cooldown: 3s

  • SP Cost: 40


Got My Money? (W)

Darko gets a shield that absorbs 50/75/100/125/150(+Attack Power 40%) damage and slows enemy test subjects nearby by 20/22.5/25/27.5/30% for second.
He gains 6% of Max HP additional shield per enemy test subject hit and steals 1/2/3/4/5 of their attack power for 3 seconds.

  • Effect Range: Circular 4m

Intimidation Tactic (R)

Darko grabs the enemy character as he moves forward, supresses them and then slams them to the ground.
Enemies nearby take 100/225/350(+Attack Power 55%)(+Slammed Target's Max HP 25%) skill damage and are slowed by 80% for 0.5 seconds.

  • Range: 2.5m

  • Suppressed Duration: 1s

  • Movement Range while suppresssing: 6m

Summertime Chiara (Rare) will be available for purchase on Tuesday, June 11th.

Battle Maids Tokens Ending Notice
  • Battle Maids will expire and will no longer be available after Wednesday, June 5th’s maintenance.

  • Exchange your remaining tokens before the 1.23 maintenance on June 5th for the following currency:

    • 3 Battle Maids Tokens → 2 Change Tokens

    • 1 Battle Maids Token → 150 A-Coin

*After Battle Maids Tokens have expired, they will become invalid and we will not be able to provide any further assistance.


System

Edit Augments in Game Preparation Phase


Some Augments may have different utility according to the weather. As a result, we’re allowing players to edit their Augments during the game prep phase, making it more convenient for experienced players to modify them to match their assigned weather and team.

  • Now, when you select a Saved Plan in the game prep phase you can also edit your Augments from that Saved Plan.

  • However, these changes will only be applied to the current game and will not affect the original Saved Plan.

Foggy is back in some modes!

  • Sub-weather: Foggy will be now available in Normals, Customs and vs. AI.

    • It will still not be available in Ranked.


We’re adding an SP regen effect to Rainy.

It might hurt getting hit by lightning but it also has it’s benefits. The current of the lighting strike recharges the VF energy, granting subjects Movement Speed for a moment.

  • Lightning Strike

    • Getting continuously struck by lightning doesn’t stack and the duration of the effect is reset.


Crafting Beverages in the Campfire

You’ll now be able to craft high rarity beverages easily in the Campfire.

  • Bring your Common rarity beverages by the campfire to craft high rarity beverage. (See Beverage)

We’re also adding options to get SP.

Unknown Number of Teams Remaining

We’re no longer displaying the number of teams remaining at a specific point in the game, making it difficult to predict other teams' situations based on the number of teams left in the second half of the game.

Kill Bonus

It’s currently hard to get rid of downed enemies within Restricted Areas or during the Temporary Safe Zones Phase, so we’re changing the circumstances when the kill bonus' restricted area count restoration is applied.

Revival Cost Increase

As we added the function for team players to use their Credits to revive allies, the average number of revivals has increased leading to a higher number of surviving teams during the Temporary Safe Zone Phase. As a result, we’re increasing the cost of revival to make it a bit more difficult to revive allies.

  • Teammate Revival Cost 200 → 250 Credits


Team Invites & Friend Requests Improvements

  • Team invites will no longer be canceled by pressing the ESC key; instead, press 1 to 'Accept' and 2 to 'Reject' Team Invites.

  • We’re also changing the display of invites to appear as push notifications.

  • The number of invites will be displayed when there is more than one invite.


  • Both Friend Requests and Team Invites will be displayed.


  • Your friends will now be able to see when you’re “Replaying”.


Ranked Tiers Display Improvements

  • The Revenant's Whirlwind item skil damage’s attack range and effects will match.

  • Non-enemy character kills such as Restricted Areas and Wild Animals will now be separately displayed and not included in the kill count of the team in first place.

    • This will remain the same in Ranked scores and will go to the first place’s kill score as before.

  • You can now skip the escape sequence by pressing ESC.

  • An error popup will no longer appear when using the Kiosk after the final safe zone has ended.

  • Augment icons will be correctly displayed in the Death Overlay.

Character and Weapon Improvements

  • Martina: Pause - Broadcast (W)'s detailed tooltip will correctly match the skill damage and skill damage per level.

  • Alonso: He will be correctly take damage from lightning strikes when using Bouncing Shield (W).

  • Katja: In a Blitz (R)'s indicator will no longer be incorreclty displayed when using the Sniper Rifle’s Weapon skill Ballistic Advantage (D).


Lobby Improvements

  • “Exclude 2P Premade Teams” will now work correctly.

  • Teammates will no longer incorrectly appear as Checking Results and prevent matching.

  • The option to disable lobby chat has been moved to the Broadcast Mode section.

  • A popup to purchase A-Coin is now displayed whenever you try to purchase with insufficient A-Coins.

  • Practice Mode will now work properly when connecting from the Character Lobby Page.

  • Discounted prices in the Personal Store's purchase popup will be correctly displayed.

  • Event NP’s remainging time will be correclty displayed.

  • An error will no longer occur when opening Uncommon/Rare Skin Vouchers 10 times.

  • Disabling lobby chat in Settings > Game > Disable Lobby Chat will correctly block whispers.

  • Craftable items will be correctly displayed in your Saved Plans.


Skill Preset While on Cooldown (Applied in 1.22)

We meant to add this information to the 1.22 Patch Notes but we failed so, so here’s what you need to know.

  • Now, when the remaining cooldown of a skill is very short, you’ll pe able to “reserve” or pre*set that skill.

  • Like other presets, this one can also be canceled by another command.
