PATCH NOTES 1.44 - April 3rd, 2025

Servers will be temporarily offline for an estimated time of 4 hours on Thursday, April 3rd from 2 AM to 6 AM (UTC) to update Patch 1.44.


New Caracter - István

Spear-wielder and former Aglaia researcher István is joining the experiment!

István will be available for 9,900 A-Coin for two weeks after launch and will not be available in Ranked matches until April 8th.

Calculation (P)

Istvan's next basic skill gains a Variable after he uses his basic attack or skills 4 times, manifesting an alternate Istvan to aid him. Istvan's movement speed is increased by 8/16/24% for1.5 second after triggering a Variable.

Observation (Q)

Istvan lunges his spear, dealing 60/100/140/180/220(+Attack Power 100%) skill damage to enemies.

Variable: Alter Istvan dashes forward and spins, slowing nearby enemies by 50% for 0.75 seconds and dealing 60/100/140/180/220(+Attack Power 100%) skill damage. He deals 100/150/200/250/300(+Attack Power 200%) damage to enemies with less than 30% HP.

Quantum Entanglement (W)

Istvan swings his spear, dealing 60/85/110/135/160(+Attack Power 80%) skill damage to enemies. Hitting enemies grants him a shield that absorbs 20/40/60/80/100(+Attack Power 100%) damage for  2.5 seconds.

Variable: Alter Istvan dashes forward and swings his spear, dealing 60/85/110/135/160(+Attack Power 80%) skill damage to enemies. Hitting enemies restores 40/50/60/70/80(+Attack Power 80%) to 60/75/90/105/120(+Attack Power 120%) of his health based on his lost HP.

(Max Recovery: When his HP drops below 40%)

The healing effect of Quantum Entanglement is reduced to 40% when used against wild animals

Wave Function Collapse (R)

Istvan leaps toward his targeted enemy character, dealing 100/170/240(+Attack Power 100%) skill damage and slowing them by 75% for 1 seconds. During this time he's Unstoppable and slowed enemies slowly recover speed. He then creates Three Variables around his enemy.

Three Variables: After a short delay, three Alter Istvans dash toward the center, dealing 50/100/150(+Attack Power 60% skill damage to enemies in range.

Rare Skin Price Changes

As we mentioned on our March 20th Patch Notes, starting from April 3rd’s 1.44 update, rare skins that have additional voicelines to those of the default skin will be priced differently.

System

New Quickslot Feature & Removal of the V-Pad

We’re adding a quickslot feature, allowing you to instantly deploy Remote Drones.

  • The default hotkey is set to Ctrl + B.

    • If you’re already using Ctrl + B for another function, no hotkey will be assigned by default.

    • We’ve added a new hotkey to avoid any potential confusion when overwriting existing settings, but you can also customize it in the options menu.

    • If you'd prefer to use the original button, please manually reassign it in the settings.

  • The V-Pad (V) popup is getting removed.


Opening Phase: Terminate & Clutch Animation 

We’re adding animations for Terminate and Clutch when eliminating a team that has a member currently Auto Reviving.

We're also considering awarding bonus Rank Points for Terminate during the Opening phase. We’ll monitor Rank Points during early Season 7, and depending on this we may apply the bonus during the mid-season update.


Character Role Display

You can now see character roles when you select characters! 

  • Roles: Tank, Fighter, Assassin, Mage, Ranged DPS, Support

  • One character will display up to two roles.

  • Roles can be used as a filter during the character selection process, including in the Game Preparation Phase, Store, and Loadout menus.

  • Since role definitions can vary widely depending on interpretation, the role tags are purely intended as a recommendation to help with character selection. They do not reflect or dictate the character’s future update direction.



Matchmaking Improvements

  • Asia 1 Server

    • We’re dividing Ranked queues for higher tiers, especially so that Diamond 2 and higher no longer match with Diamond 3 or lower.

  • North America and Europe Servers

    • We're slightly broadening Normal queues for higher tiers.


Dr. Wickeline Spawn Point Adjustment

We’re making controlling the area inside the Research Center, including the Launch Pad, slightly more challenging when Dr. Wickeline spawns.

  • We’re slightly extending the ramp leading into the Research Center.

  • Dr. Wickeline’s spawn location will move to the end of the ramp.

  • As a result, we’re moving the spawn points of Alpha/Omega in Forest closer to the Security Console, to avoid any overlap with Wickeline’s location.


Practice Mode: Drones

We’re adding the option to summon drones in Practice Mode.

Nadine

Bow and Crossbow Nadine share the same skills, but Bow Nadine excels at burst damage and poke through skill power, while Crossbow Nadine is more focused on sustained fights.

Currently, Bow Nadine is performing well not only power-wise but also in extended fights, so we’re reducing the power of R – Wolf Assault to keep her in check.

At the same time, we’re increasing the power of Crossbow Nadine, who has been showing underwhelming stats.

Gameplay Improvements

  • Team Revival timers are now calculated more accurately, excluding teammates who died after Auto Revival has ended.

  • Now, getting another Loop Card Key – Red will no longer trigger a vote after already having an escape vote that didn’t pass.

  • Players can now successfully regroup with teammates in the Research Center using the Hyperloop.

  • Stats per level values now display correctly in item tooltips.

  • Fullscreen mode now displays properly when using the Alt + Enter keybind.

  • Skill indicators now display correctly when Enable Skill Cast Within Max Range is disabled.

  • The announcer pack now correctly plays when Rapid Reconstruction ends on Day 3.

  • Pings (Alt + Left Click) now display correctly when used on Dummies.

  • Pings now appear correctly when placed on Eco Objectives.

  • Character direction now adjusts properly when interacting with Objectives.

  • Garnet: Unstoppable Targets can no longer be executed by Maiden's Embrace (R).

  • Nicky: The visual effect for Knockout Punch (E) no longer appears after Tactical Skills Totem ends.

  • Tia (Pixel Art Skin): The effect for Brush Stroke – Red (Q) now displays at the correct size.

  • Lenox: Bait and Tackle (P)’s Bait effect no longer grants a Telephoto Camera in Cobalt Protocol.

  • Leni: Whack-a-mole! (W) is no longer affected by Skill Cast Within Max Range.

  • Leon: Text in the Waterway (Q) effect now displays correctly.

  • Luke: Collecting animations no longer freeze when using skins.

  • Lenore: Collecting Objective animations now play properly without being interrupted.

  • Li Dailin: The floor effect for Bottom Shelf (E) now appears in the correct position when moving immediately after using the skill.
